6 Dec 2018. Chch Press. Guilty plea for hit and run death. A 30 year old Oamaru, name suppression, man guilty, hit and run death of 14 year old Zara Blackie. Oamaru district court 5 Dec 2018. Remanded on bail for sentence on 27 Feb 2019. Zara Blackie died after being hit by a car at about 10.30pm on 23 Oct 2018, funeral on 20 Oct 2018, at St Kevins college, where she was a year 10 student.
Ex cop wants the Lisa Blakie cold case re opened. 23 Dec 2016. She was found dead in 2000 after hitchiking to the West coast from Christchurch 16 years ago. On 2 Feb 2000 her body was found Arthurs pass, 4 days after she went missing. Timothy David Taylor is in jail and has pleaded innocent of her murder.

Darfield link. Timothy Taylor is in jail for the murder of Lisa Blakie. Ex cop Bridget McMenamin says he is innocent. 2 other ex cops said the same. Police officer Greg Murton gave evidence at Taylors trial. Father Doug Blakie. Police investigation not done properly, other people were involved. White Bedford van seen.
